That All Too Familiar Sinking Feeling

Well that's not very good now is it? This will certainly teach Rickey not to purchase a post season ticket pack ever again. What next, Citibank becomes the latest financial institution to collapse, Citi Field gets auctioned off and the Mets end up staying at Shea? We're sure that Chipper Jones would be pleased with that possibility...

They just can't make it easy, can they? It's ingrained in the very fiber of their being--they don't make it easy. Ever. Still it could be worse. We could be the Astros right now...

Yeah, Rickey plans on giving the live chat another shot at a later date TBD. Rickey's curious: does the Friday night format work or is everyone out gallivanting about at that time?

As a Cubs fan it's easy to feel your pain, but difficult to really care all that much about Met related suffering. Just be happpy you're not a Brewers fan.

It's getting to the point where I dread each game every night. Feels vaguely familiar...

Don't you mean the Brewers? The Astros are red-hot, 16-6 since the Mets played them last.

Chris: oops yeah, Rickey meant the Brewers. Talk about a team in turmoil...

Oh, c'mon people. It's not like they're going to face the worst team in the majors, with the worst offense as well, and give up 7 runs or anything.

I mean, it's not like the lead (in both the division and the WC) is down to a half game or something scary like that.

You're all so damn negative.

At least you aren't the Rangers. And the decades of frustration that come with their fandom.

I feel for you, Rickey. Watching the season slip through your fingers is agonizing.

You do your live-chat at 1:00 a.m. and I'm there!

Maybe we do better wehn we're behind? That's probably how Philly likes it best anyway.
