WORD OF THE DAY: Schadenfreude

Schadenfreude is a German word meaning 'pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune'.

You know what gives me pleasure? Seeing justice done for a change.

Back to the pokey you go, Paris.

Judge Sauer DOES NOT fuck around and Rickey absolutely loves it. Nice to see a judge get national press and not back down.

Viva Judge Michael "America's Enforcer" Sauer.

I'm not sure why I take such pleasure in following this story, but I do, and I don't care if that makes me trashy.

Sauer knew that if he didn't throw the book at Paris, he'd be arrying her water, and who the hec wants to do that?

You do realize that when the reins of power were handed over to you, the last thing Rickey had expected was a submission on the Paris Hilton fiasco.

Rickey wants photos. Photos of Spiderman damnit.

Indeed. "No, Sheriff, when I said she stays in jail...I MEANT SHE STAYS THE FUCK IN JAIL. By the way...explain to me why you're not in contempt of court."

It's minimal. It's not a felony. But it still counts that some star has to serve time. Especially this star.

Balloon Juice has an interesting take on it. "Sadly, the Reverend Al Sharpton is the voice of reason..."

Also, on my blog, Rickey asked where he can find Beer Meccas. Go to beeradvocate.com. Sign-up is free. From there, you can look up Beer Meccas by state and city.

You rock Smitty. Rickey needs to find good Belgian beer near him. Thanks for the heads up.

So, you can blog about Paris Hilton, but STILL no weekly episode of CTU Denver???

Rickey, I blame you for this, as now Adam has two blogs to write for and still can't get around to posting what he promised.

Harumph.
